First Assist Scheduler is designed for medical professionals that run their own business providing surgical first assist services to multiple hospitals and surgical medical practices. Scheduling cases with multiple organizations, avoiding reservation conflicts, and blocking off time for non-surgical tasks is challenging and time consuming. FAS simplifies this process by providing a centralized calendar that all interested parties can access.
The first assist using our service can share their calendar with the schedulers working at the hospitals and surgical medical practices they work with. On their calendar, they can schedule out-of-office time, appointments, or other times they are not available to work. They can also schedule windows of time where they are on call or only available to work with a specific organization.
Schedulers with access to the calendar can see all the current reservations and events for the first assist they want to reserve time with. They are then free to make a reservation where there the first assist is available. The new reservation appears immediately on the calendar and prevents other organizations from booking that time.
The responsibility for scheduling and avoiding conflicts is offloaded to the shared calendar and the schedulers booking reservations.
